Fiber To The Node Connection
This is for people that may not know they will need a VDSL modem router for their FTTN NBN connection. There are various different ways NBN fiber is connected to your home or business. FTTN (Fiber to the Node) require VDSL+ modems for use with NBN connections.
Unlike premises that can have FTTH (Fiber to the Home), FTTN can not access the internet connection directly through the WAN with an RJ45 Ethernet cable. For this you will still need a copper RJ11 phone cable that slots into the back of your VDSL+ modem/router to enable signal connectivity.
NOTE: Make sure that you have purchased a NBN ready VDSL+ modem/router prior to install or you may have problems establishing your internet connection.
